“My interest in coaching started in the 90s after i returned from the UK as a certified Billiard and Snooker coach. When i was undisputed Rank no.1 for 4 years, I was given the assignment as National coach from 94 to 96 at my peak of my game. I saw plenty of players who had potential and at least 15 of them were century breakers struggling with their breakthrough. As a result, all these players were roped in to train as our National squad together with National Youth squad under my wings. Along the journey of 4 years as a coach and player, I managed to produce numerous champions at my expense during my prime condition.
In the late 90s, pool was getting popular and as such, I travelled to America for my Pool coaching course. To date I am holding an Advanced pool certificate from Billiard Congress of America (BCA) also known as PBIA now. After which i became Pool, billiard & Snooker coach for the past 30 years and counting.” – Ricky
